Frequently Asked Questions
A beat lease is an agreement between an artist and a producer that allows the artist to use a beat in a new song. Beat leasing allows independent artists to purchase beats for very affordable prices while still enabling producers to make an income from their work. Win win.
100%. Once you purchase a lease for a beat, you have the rights to monetize your new songs on all platforms.
Yes, I am currently running a Buy 2 Get 1 Free on all non-exclusive licenses. All you have to do is add 3 beats with the same license to your cart and the discount will be applied automatically. (Check here for any promotional deals)
Yes, your beat(s) will be ready and available instantly for you to download. Alternatively, if you can’t download them straight away, there will be a download link in your order confirmation email.
When you purchase a non-exclusive license the producer can still continue to sell other licenses to other artists (which is why they are so cheap). When you purchase an exclusive license, the beat is permanently removed from the store and cannot be sold again in the future.
The online “Dux Music” watermark tag will be removed from your purchased beat(s), however the signature “yo Dux, what you tellin’ me?” will still be included at the beginning.
The audio stems/trackouts refers to the audio files of each individual instrument from a beat. For example, when you purchase a premium, unlimited or exclusive license you will receive a zip file containing separate audio tracks for the kick, snare, clap, bass, piano etc (one set of stems with added FX and one set with no added FX). This is helpful if you want an engineer to have maximum control over the mixing of your new song.
Don’t worry. You can simply pay to upgrade to another license by contacting me. However failure to do so will mean that you are breaching the terms of our agreement and therefore using the beat illegally; so make sure to get on top of it ASAP.
Nothing happens to you. When someone buys the exclusive rights to a beat, all previously purchased licenses of that beat are legally upheld. You’re all covered.
